An upper low over central NSW and associated trough is generating showers and
isolated thunderstorms over eastern NSW and parts of southeast Queensland. A
surface low is visible off the NSW coast and is generating widespread shower and
thunderstorm activity offshore.

A cold front is moving through southern coastal areas of Western Australia with
patchy drifting ahead of this system across the Bight. High level cloud is
evident across central districts of Western Australia. Onshore winds are
resulting in patchy cloud along the east Queensland coast.

The remainder of Australia is mostly clear under a ridge of high pressure.
