A trough extends from off the Kimberley coast to a low over inland Gascoyne
district to the south coast of WA while a cold front lies just to the south of
WA in the Bight. A large area of mid to upper level cloud with a few embedded
thunderstorms covers much of the northern , eastern and southern parts of WA and
extends into the NT and western parts of SA.

Another trough through the central part of the country extends through southwest
Qld, northeast NSW and into the Tasman Sea. Areas of cloud and a few
thunderstorms can be seen to the north and east of this trough.

The southeastern part of the country including Tasmania and the central western
parts of WA is mostly cloud free.
