A complex system is present over New South Wales with a low connected to a
trough centred over the south, and a developing low embedded in a coastal
trough. This system is associated with a broad and active area of cloud covering
most of the southeast of the continent.

An inland trough across northern parts of the country extending from a low over
the Kimberley region in Western Australia through the Northern Territory and
into southern Queensland is associated with middle and upper level cloud with
embedded thunderstorms.

Moist onshore flow is generating areas of low cloud over southern coastal
regions of South Australia, Tasmania, and southwest Western Australia.

The rest of the country is mostly clear apart from an area of cloud over the Top
End in the Northern Territory.
