Areas of cloud with embedded thunderstorms covers the Kimberley region and the
Gulf Country of Qld, associated with a monsoon trough just to the north of the
country and a trough extending south along the WA coast.

The central part of the country, much of the eastern half of South Australia and
southwest Qld is also covered with a cloud band due to a surface trough.

The rest of country is mostly clear apart from areas of low cloud over northeast
coast of Tasmania and along the NSW and Qld coasts.
