A cold front is crossing eastern South Australia and entering western Victoria.
Extensive middle level cloud is over New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and
southeast Queensland ahead of the front.

Further fronts and troughs to the southwest over the Southern Ocean are
producing extensive cloud with speckled cold air cumulus cloud.

A layer of lower, more stable cloud covers the southwest of Western Australia
under a high pressure ridge.

The remainder of the continent is mainly cloud free under the influence of a
high pressure ridge extending across central Australia.
