A cloud band with embedded showers and thunderstorms over the Tasman Sea is associated with a cold front moving through the area.

Isolated thunderstorms over northeast Victoria and southeast parts of New South Wales is due to another surface trough.

Middle and high level cloud streaming across much of the eastern Indian Ocean and over the central parts of the WA coast is associated with a low pressure system located further to the west.

The cloud band to the west of Tasmania that extends over the Great Australian Bight is associated with another developing cold front.
