IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 28 July 2015 Issued at 5:19 pm EST Tuesday on 28 July 2015 The patchy middle-level cloud band over eastern Queensland is associated with an upper trough and the jet stream. A thick rain band is evident over southern WA with high-level cloud streaming ahead of this system to the Bight and coastal South Australia. Embedded thunderstorms can be observed north of Perth. A high pressure system over South Australia is directing a moist onshore airflow over the southeast of Australia, leading to areas of patchy low cloud near the coast. The rest of the country is mostly clear due to the high pressure system.
