A complex low moving over the southeast of the country extends a cold front over
the far southeast and just off the east coast. Extensive middle and high level
cloud, with occasional embedded thunderstorms, precedes this front. The low is
generating areas of low cloud over the southeastern states. A trough extending
northwards from the front is causing low level cloud across eastern QLD.

A trough with an associated cloud band and embedded thunderstorms is moving over
the southwestern corner of WA. A broad area of high cloud is moving over the
southeast of WA.

Low cloud is also affecting the northern tropical coast of QLD.
