A cold front is lies east of Victoria and Tasmania to a low south of Tasmania. A
pool of cold, unstable air is evident behind the front as depicted by the
speckled cloud over waters from the Vic/SA/Tas border westwards across the Great
Australian Bight.

An mid-level disturbance is causing middle and high level cloud with embedded
thunderstorms over the southeastern Northern Territory, through NSW, Victoria.

A large area of jetstream cloud is moving across the southern Indian Ocean into
the Southern Ocean south of WA ahead of a cold front.
