An upper level disturbance and surface trough are responsible for a broad area
of cloud with embedded thunderstorms over eastern Queensland. Onshore winds
continue to bring patchy low cloud to coastlines along the south of the

A cold front with associated cloud band and embedded thunderstorms has moved
east into the Tasman Sea. Cellular clouds with isolated thunderstorms can be
seen in the cold air behind the front over Tasmania, southern Victoria and
adjacent waters.

A high pressure ridge is keeping central and most of Western Australia clear
with patchy high cloud over northern parts of the country.
