Thunderstorms can be seen in the vicinity of surface troughs mainly over
northern Australia.

Another trough is responsible for the thunderstorms over the northern Tasman
Sea.

Mid to high level cloud is drifting across the central and eastern parts of the
continent, downstream of a weak upper trough.

A cold front is moving across Tasmania with low cloud affecting Tasmania and
also the coastal areas of VIC and southeast SA. Mid to high level cloud is also
visible over the Tasman Sea, ahead of the cold front.

High cloud is streaming onto the southeast parts of the country from the
southern ocean.

The remainder of the country is largely clear due to a high pressure system over
the Bight.
