IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 0600UTC Chart Issued at 7:23 pm EDT Thursday on 02 February 2023 A trough extends from the Kimberley across the Northern Territory and into northwest Queensland with areas of cloud and embedded thunderstorms in its vicinity. A short trough approaching Brisbane from the west is bringing thick cloud and thunderstorms. Patchy middle level cloud lies about a trough which is bringing isolated thunderstorms over northwest Western Australia A strong cold front and its associated cloud band is crossing through Victoria and bringing low to mid level cloud to the western half of the state.
