A cloud band over central South Australia extends south of Adelaide. This cloud is associated with an active surface trough and an upper level disturbance. Some low cloud in the wake of this system remains near the southern coast of Western Australia.
High cloud streaming towards WA from the west is associated with a cold front and a low pressure system.
Low cloud persists over eastern New South Wales and eastern coastal parts of Queensland. This is being caused by a strong high pressure system centred east of Tasmania in the Tasman Sea directing moist onshore winds to these areas.
