A thin band of mostly middle level cloud stretching across northern New South
Wales and into the Tasman Sea is associated with an upper trough.

In the south, a cold front is moving across the Southern Ocean with the tail end
of this front brushing the far southwest parts of Western Australia. High cloud
is streaming across Tasmania, ahead of the front while low cloud is affecting
the southwest parts of Western Australia.

Onshore wind is bringing low cloud to coastal parts of the Peninsula District in
far north Queensland.
