Much of the interior of the continent is cloud free apart from areas of middle
to high level cloud across the central and southeast parts of Western Australia,
the western parts of South Australia and about the northwestern parts of New
South Wales. Isolated thunderstorms are occurring about the interior of Western
Australia. An upper trough together with surface low pressure troughs is causing
this area of instability.

High cloud is also streaming across Tasmania, ahead of an approaching cold

Another cold front is approaching the southwest parts of Western Australia.

A moist onshore wind flow is causing areas of low cloud along the eastern
seaboard, the northern coast of Queensland and near the Gulf of Carpentaria
