IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 05 July 2015 Issued at 5:24 pm EST Sunday on 05 July 2015 Cloud over the southern parts of Victoria, Bass Strait, Tasmania and the southeast parts of South Australia is due to a series of surface troughs ahead of cold front over The Great Australian Bight. Westerly winds behind the front are resulting in patchy areas of low cloud about the southern Western Australia coast. Further north, onshore winds are causing low cloud along the east Queensland coast as well as over the Gulf of Carpentaria. The remainder of Australia is relatively clear due to a high pressure system centred over the central parts of New South Wales. Ex-Tropical Cyclone "Raquel" remains slow moving near the Solomon Islands and is generating broad areas of convective cloud.
