Cool southwesterly winds are resulting in areas of low cloud over southern Victoria and Tasmania. Cloud associated with a trough is causing convective cloud and isolated thunderstorms along the southern Queensland coast. Middle level cloud with isolated embedded thunderstorms is evident through the interior of Queensland due to an upper level low pressure system. Further north, high level cloud is streaming across the Gulf of Carpentaria to the Coral Sea.
Cloud associated with a strong cold front is approaching the west coast of Western Australia. A cold air mass with showers and thunderstorms is visible behind the front. Generally clear conditions throughout the remainder of the country.
