Showers and thunderstorms are evident near the coastal areas of NSW and
southeast QLD. A moist easterly airstream is feeding into a surface low pressure
trough which is interacting with a complex upper level low to generate this
weather.

Much of the inland part of the continent is clear but showers and isolated
thunderstorms are present across most of the tropical north. Middle level cloud
with embedded thunderstorms are also present over the western Kimberley, western
Pilbara and Central West Gasycone district of WA, extending into the Southwest
Land Division.

An upper trough is producing a band of middle and high level cloud streaming
across southwest Tasmania.
