A strong cold front is impacting southern Western Australia. The front extends
south and connects with a deep low over the Southern Ocean. High level cloud
visible across the Bight is streaming poleward ahead of the main frontal band.

Further east, a field of cold air lies across the Tasman Sea in the wake of
another strong cold front. Thunderstorm activity is evident in this "speckled"
cloud. Areas of low cloud still remain over Tasmania and southern Victoria.

Cloud over northern and central Queensland and the Coral Sea is due to an upper
trough to the west.
