An extensive cloud band, with embedded thunderstorms, extends from the Indian
Ocean and across the northwestern and central parts of the country. This is
associated with an upper level trough. High cloud can be seen streaming across
the country along the southern edge of this cloud band as well as over Tasmania
and also off the Queensland coast and is due to an upper level jetstream.

A cold front with associated cloud band and embedded thunderstorms, is moving
across the southwest parts of Western Australia. Low cloud is visible behind the
cold front.
