Areas of cloud with some isolated convection are evident over large parts of
Western Australia, northern Northern Territory and the Gulf of Carpentaria due
to a broad area of low pressure. High level cloud is streaming over central
Australia from these storms due to the jet stream.

A band of cloud with embedded thunderstorms extends from central Queensland over
northeast New South Wales to the east of Victoria and Tasmania due to a trough
of low pressure joining a cold front over the Tasman Sea.

Patchy low level cloud can be seen over Tasmania and southern Victoria in the
southerly air stream.

Southern parts of WA and most parts of SA are clear due to a ridge of high
pressure extending over these areas.
