Showers and thunderstorms continue through southern Queensland and northeast NSW
due to a low pressure trough. Thunderstorms are also visible off the northern
NSW coast. A high is directing moist easterly winds with low cloud over
Gippsland and the southern and central NSW coast. Low cloud is also occuring
over parts of Tasmania.

Further west, a broad trough of low pressure extends from the Kimberley region
through the interior of Western Australia to the south coastal district.
Extensive middle level cloud is covering much of the interior of the state with
isolated thunderstorms while a cold front is approaching the far southwest. The
remainder of Australia is mostly clear due to a ridge of high pressure.
