Low cloud along the coastal areas of Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania is
due to cold airmass associated with a complex low pressure system near New
Zealand. Thunderstorms can be seen over the northern Tasman Sea.

Cloud with embedded thunderstorms over the southern parts of Western Australia
is due to a cold front and low pressure system. Low cloud is affecting the
southwestern parts of Western Australia, behind the cold front. Middle level
cloud streaming across the central parts of Western Australian is associated
with a upper level trough.

The remainder of the country is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
