Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 23 July 2014

Issued at 5:30 pm EST Wednesday on 23 July 2014

A large cloud band over southeastern Australia is from a "cut-off" low pressure system over the Bight combining with a broad upper level trough.

Low cloud in the wake of this system is over southern Western Australia and western South Australia.

Patchy cloud over Cape York Peninsula and the North Tropical Coast of Queensland is due to a moist onshore airflow.
