An area of patchy cloud with a few embedded thunderstorms extends along the
WA/NT border region to the western parts of South Australia and is associated
with a slow-moving surface trough. A cold front and its associated cloud band
are crossing the southwest of WA. Areas of patchy cloud can be seen ahead of
this cold front over the central parts of WA.

Low cloud linger over parts of Tasmania, southern Victoria and near the New
South Wales coast within a moist southerly airstream. A deep low pressure system
can be seen over the southwestern Tasman Sea well to the east of Tasmania.
