IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 1200UTC chart on 2 March 2015 Issued at 11:50 pm EDT Monday on 02 March 2015 An active area of cloud with embedded thunderstorms is over the Kimberley region and the central interior of Western Australia.High and middle level cloud from this area is extending southeast on to South Australia and Victoria ahead of a cold front that is approaching Tasmania. A strong upper level trough just west of WA is also helping to generate this extensive cloud band. Areas of low cloud are over the New South Wales and southeast Queensland coasts from a moist onshore airstream. Thunderstorm activity continues over the tropical north of the country.
