The strong cold front in now situated over southeast NSW, extending to a deep
low pressure system southwest of Tasmania. A surge of cold air behind the front
is causing isolated thunderstorms and low level cloud over Victoria and
Tasmania, and along the southern coasts.

The remainder of the country is generally clear due to a ridge of high pressure
extending from the west.
