IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 4 March 2015 Issued at 6:19 pm EDT Wednesday on 04 March 2015 Extensive cloud band with embedded areas of thunderstorm activity is situated over the ocean near the Kimberley and the Pilbara coasts off Western Australia. High and middle level cloud is streaming from this area over large parts of southern WA and over southwestern South Australia. A strong upper level trough just west of WA is helping to generate this extensive cloud band. Low level cloud covers central NSW coastal areas and southwestern Victoria. Extensive thunderstorm activity is present over the tropical north of the country, especially about northern WA and the Northern Territory due to a broad area of low pressure.
