A cold front extends over New Zealand with an extensive cold pool in its wake
that covers the Tasman Sea with associated isolated to scattered shower and
thunderstorm activity.

The next significant cold front and a trough extends over southeast WA with a
thick cloud band that wraps around to a complex low pressure system further
south behind the cold front.

A third cold front located over the Indian Ocean southwest of WA has a thinner,
patchy cloud band associated with it.

A ridge of high pressure is responsible for keeping most of the continent cloud
free.
