A low pressure trough extends from the Kimberley in Western Australia, across
the tropical north to a broad area of low pressure over the eastern Queensland,
triggering extensive areas of showers and thunderstorms up to northern NSW. A
band of middle and high level cloud extends along another trough from the
Queensland coast to Coral Sea and into a deep low pressure system over the
northern Tasman Sea.
