A high pressure ridge is directing low level cloud over southeastern Australia
in a weak moist onshore flow.

The remnants of Tropical Cyclone Nathan are off the Kimberley coast with
extensive cloud and embedded thunderstorms. A broad area of mostly middle level
cloud is streaming from NW Western Australia towards the southeast, through
parts of the Northern Territory, South Australia and New South Wales.

Some isolated thunderstorms are active near the Gulf of Carpentaria. The
remnants of earlier storms are visible through northwest Queensland near a
trough.

A cloud band along a cold front is approaching Tasmania.
