A intensifying tropical low to the northwest of Western Australia is generating
very active convection in this vicinity. A low pressure trough over the Indian
Ocean is producing thunderstorm activity with clouds streaming to the southwest
coast of Western Australia. Isolated thunderstorms can also be seen near the
north coast of New South Wales.

Areas of low cloud are drifting over Tasmania, Victoria, southern New South
Wales, South Australia and southeastern parts of Western Australia in a moist
onshore flow.

Patchy high level cloud associated with the jet stream is moving quickly over
the Coral Sea.

A high pressure ridge is keeping other parts of the country mostly cloud free.
