A low pressure system over the southeast of South Australian is continuing to
generate a mass of middle and high level cloud which is streaming across
southeastern Australia. Extensive low level cloud is observed to the west of
this low over the Bight, southern South Australia and southern Western
Australia. A low pressure trough with patchy cloud extends north of this system
connecting with another low near the Queensland/Northern Territory border.

This low, along with a strong upper level low over the the northern interior of
Queensland is combining with a very moist north to northeasterly airstream. This
is resulting in widespread cloud cover over northern parts of the Northern
Territory and over most of Queensland. Thunderstorms remain active over the
southern Gulf of Carpentaria and also from the North Tropical Coast to Central
Coast districts. A high over the Tasman Sea is directing easterly winds and low
cloud onto the southern Queensland and northern NSW coasts.

Generally clear conditions over northern Western Australia and remaining parts
of central Australia.
