A cold front extends from eastern NSW through southern parts of the Tasman Sea.
An extensive area of mid level cloud is streaming ahead of this system with
embedded thunderstorm activity. Areas of low and mid level cloud persists over
southern Victoria and Tasmania in the wake of this system featuring showers and
thunderstorms, while a pre-frontal trough extends from the Tasman Sea through
central Australia, triggering afternoon showers and storms over northeast NSW
and southeast Queensland.

A broad area of mid level cloud is visible over southwest WA, with rain and
embedded storm activity developing with a frontal system.

Mostly clear through the interior and across the north of the country.
