Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 2 September 2014

Issued at 5:45 pm EST Tuesday on 02 September 2014

The cloud band that is associated with a cold front and a surface trough has now largely moved over the Tasman Sea. Cold-air cloud behind this front remains over Victoria and Tasmania.

Cloud over southern Western Australia and the Bight is due to a low pressure trough and an upper level jet stream.

The northern half of the country is mostly clear due to a ridge of high pressure extending northwards from the Bight.
