Cloud and thunderstorm activity over the central and southern parts of Western
Australia and into the Great Australian Bight is associated with Ex-Tropical
Cyclone 'Kelvin' and a surface trough.

Another surface trough extends from central Western Australia through the
southern parts of the Northern Territory to southwest Queensland and into
northern New South Wales. Moist and unstable airmass is causing thunderstorms
over parts of eastern Queensland.

Ex-Tropical Cyclone 'Gita' with associated cloud and rain can be seen over New
Zealand.

A ridge of high pressure extending over Tasmania from the south is driving some
low cloud along the east coasts of Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales.
