Cloud with isolated thunderstorms over central and southeast parts of WA and
into western SA, is the combined result of a surface and an upper level trough.
Patchy high cloud can be seen streaming across eastern SA and the Bight, ahead
of the upper level trough.

Cloud and isolated thunderstorms associated with a cold front is visible to the
south of WA.

Low cloud can be seen near the NSW, southern QLD and the southwest WA coasts and
is due to onshore winds.

Cloud and isolated thunderstorms to the northeast of QLD is due to another
surface trough and an upper level jetstream.

A strong high pressure system centred over the Bass Strait, extends a ridge over
the remainder of the country and is maintaining mostly clear skies.
