Cloud with embedded thunderstorm activity is over the Coral Sea and north
tropical Queensland coast. This is due to a surface low pressure trough and an
upper level disturbance. Onshore easterly winds are resulting in areas of low
cloud over the remainder of eastern QLD.

Over the southeast of the continent is another cloud band, associated with a
cold front near Tasmania. This system is drawing moisture down from the QLD
tropics.

Some low cloud is about the southern coast of Western Australia under the
inversion caused by the high pressure system there.
