A broad mass of cloud with embedded thunderstorms covers large parts of northern, central and southeastern Australia. This cloud is associated with areas of low pressure across the north and southeast of the continent.

A cloud band associated with a cold front is crossing Victoria and Tasmania. Isolated convective clouds are visible over the Cape York Peninsula and the northern parts of Western Australia.
