Satellite Notes for the 1800UTC chart on 04 October 2015
Issued at 5:00 am EDT Monday on 05 October 2015

Patchy high cloud is drifting across the southeast of Australia and is the
remnant of a cloud band generated by an upper trough. A weakening cold front is
moving across the southwest of WA while another front is developing to the
southwest of the state.

Areas of cloud about northern parts of the Territory and adjacent parts of
Queensland and WA are the remnants of afternoon convective activity. Onshore
southeasterly winds are also resulting in patchy low cloud about the northeast
coast of Queensland. A high pressure ridge is maintaining clear conditions over
most of the remainder of Australia.
