Areas of mostly middle level cloud cover large parts of Western Australia and
adjacent parts of South Australia and the Territory. Embedded thunderstorms can
also be seen over parts of the Kimberley and Gascoyne regions. These areas of
cloud are associated with a surface trough which stretches from central WA to
the Northern Territory and also an upper low just off the WA west coast.

Isolated thunderstorms remain about parts of Tropical North Queensland while the
storms associated with a surface trough over southeast Queensland and the far
northeast of NSW have dissipated or cleared to the east overnight. Tropical
cyclone Ola remains slow moving well to the east of Queensland in the Coral Sea.

Areas of cloud wrapping around a weakening low pressure system in the Tasman Sea
cover parts of Tasmania, Victoria and the far southeast of New South Wales.
