IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 27 December 2014 Issued at 5:00 pm EDT Saturday on 27 December 2014 A broad cloud band extends from the central parts of the NT to northeastern New South Wales and is associated with an upper trough. Isolated thunderstorms remain over parts of the Kimberley region WA, Northern Territory's Top End and the Gulf region associated with a low pressure trough. A weak cold front and its associated cloud band is moving into the Tasman Sea with patchy, low level cloud in its wake. Remaining parts of Australia are mostly cloud free. Severe Tropical Cyclone "Kate" is located well west of the Cocos Islands and is slowly moving further southwest.
