A patchy cloud band extends over parts of Victoria and Tasmania and is
associated with a weak cold front that is moving through the region.

A thick cloud band associated with a cold front near southwest WA is producing
showers over land and thunderstorms over the waters of the Great Australian
Bight where the frontal cloud band connects into a complex low pressure system.
A second low pressure system southwest of Perth is evident with speckled cloud
swirling around into the secondary low. This feature is also moving towards
southern WA and will move across the state during Friday.

A high pressure system off the New South Wales coast is keeping eastern and
northern Australia mostly cloud free.
