A middle level cloud band extends from the Northern Territory to the southeast
of the continent and is associated with an upper level trough.

An inland trough moving across WA is associated with a thick, low to middle
level cloud band that extends through eastern parts of the state and the western
parts of SA. It is also bringing thunderstorm activity to southern parts of SA.

Patchy low cloud can seen about the east coast of Queensland within a moist
southeasterly airflow. Patchy low cloud can also be seen over southeast parts of
South Australia and northern VIC associated with stable airmass under the
influence of a ridge of high pressure.
