A cold front extends over New Zealand with an extensive cold pool of air in its
wake that covers the Tasman Sea with associated isolated to scattered shower and
thunderstorm activity.

A complex region of low pressure sits to the south of the Bight and has multiple
cold fronts and troughs branching towards the Australian coast. Of particular
interest in the coming days is the cold front sitting just along the southwest
coast of WA.

A ridge of high pressure is responsible for keeping the rest of the continent
mainly cloud free.
