A deep low pressure system to the distant southeast of Tasmania is represented
by a mass of cloud. On the northern flank of this low, spotty convective cloud
has formed within the coldest air, which now lies mostly over waters to the
southeast of the state.

Areas of low cloud are seen covering the Bight and the adjacent coast of Western
Australia, across southern South Australia, through southern and central parts
of New South Wales and over most of Victoria.

A few patches of middle level cloud lie through the interior of WA.

The remainder of the country is generally clear due to a ridge of high pressure
extending into southern Queensland from a strong high to the west of WA.
