IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 1200UTC chart on 29 December 2014 Issued at 11:53 pm EDT Monday on 29 December 2014 A broad band of middle-level cloud with embedded thudnerstorms lies across the north of the country and extends along a trough to the Wide Bay and Burnett district in Queensland. Thunderstorms are most active about northern and central Queensland and the Top End. Further south, a cold front is moving east of Victoria and Tasmania with areas of low cloud behind it. Another cold front is approaching the west coast of Tasmania. The remainder of Australia is generally clear apart from some high level cloud drifting across the interior.
