A trough associated with a weak low extends a cloud band with embedded
thunderstorms east of Tasmania over the Tasman Sea. Patches of low level cloud
is also present across southeast NSW.

A cold front is crossing over southwest Western Australia with a band of cloud
and embedded thunderstorms.

A large high pressure system over the eastern part of the country is responsible
for keeping the rest of the continent mainly cloud free.
