Extensive area of cloud about the west coast of Australia is primarily caused
with an upper level disturbance. A surface trough is combining with an upper
disturbance to generate convective activity embedded in the middle level cloud
over eastern NSW and south central Queensland.

Isolated thunderstorm activity can also be seen near the Top End of Australia.
Isolated shower activity is persisting along the east coast of Queensland in the
southeasterly trade flow. The remainder of the country is cloud free under the
influence of a high pressure ridge.
