IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 1800UTC chart on 06 May 2016 Issued at 5:00 am EST Saturday on 07 May 2016 An extensive cloud band, with embedded thunderstorms, extends from the Indian Ocean and across the northwestern and central parts of the country. This is associated with an upper level trough. High cloud can be seen streaming across the country along the southern edge of this cloud band as well as over Tasmania and is due to an upper level jetstream. A cold front with associated cloud band and embedded thunderstorms, is moving across the southwest parts of Western Australia. Low cloud is visible behind the cold front.
